Coppejans Gallery
Research gallery from Antwerp
Coppejans Gallery
Coppejans Gallery is a contemporary art gallery in Antwerp, with a distinct focus on artists for whom art is a form of research. Based on the conviction that a work of art can be not only an end point but also a way of thinking, the gallery brings together artists from different generations around themes such as material, space, meaning, perception and social change.
The programme spans conceptual art, minimalism, ZERO/Nul and contemporary artistic practices, combining established artists with emerging talent. Exhibitions often emerge from dialogue and research and are complemented by talks, publications, performances and collaborations with curators, researchers and cultural institutions.
Coppejans Gallery was founded in 2020 by Stijn Coppejans and has been participating in PAN Amsterdam since 2021.
