WonderWood

Plywood design from 1930-1950 and contemporary art

WonderWood Amsterdam presents special works of art in white at PAN 2023 under the title 'Nothing is whiter than the memory of whiteness'.
White is light, pure, neutral and timeless. The color white radiates calmness and white is the color of perfection.

WonderWood also pays tribute to two special eighty-year-olds who have a lot in common, the artists Klaas Gubbels and Jeroen Henneman.
With simple objects as the basis for their work (jugs, fishbowls, tables, boxes and lamps), both have their own and recognizable style. Eye-catchers are a coffee pot in corten steel by Gubbels, 2 meters high, and a luminous wall work (Titanic) by Henneman, 2 meters wide.

WonderWood also shows beautiful paper mache works by Eric Mathijsen, Murano vases by Melvin Anderson and new skylines by Floris Hovers.

Design is also present, with 1950s lamps by Rispal and Holm Sørensen, chairs by Charles and Ray Eames and a beautiful Italian desk from the 1970s.

Enjoy the special mix of Art and Design at WonderWood, stand 117.
