description
One of the most sought-after editions by Lucio Fontana (1899–1968), Concetto Spaziale, Cratere, will be presented this November by ARTFAUVE at PAN Amsterdam.
This work, produced in 1968 in collaboration with the German porcelain manufacturer Rosenthal, is part of a limited edition of only 75 pieces.
The Cratere is executed in high-quality white porcelain, characteristic of Rosenthal ceramics. Fontana’s signature interventions — perforations and reliefs — create a dynamic interplay of light, shadow, and space.
Concetto Spaziale, Cratere embodies Fontana’s revolutionary vision: breaking through the flat surface and exploring the concept of infinite space.
