description
Sigmund Freud had a close relationship with his Chow Chow, Jofi, who would often sit with him during patient sessions in his Vienna home. Jofi's calming presence was believed to help ease patient tension, and Freud observed her behavior to gauge his patients' psychological states, noting her consistent timing of yawning to signal the end of a session. The name "Jofi" is also believed to be a Hebrew word for "beauty," though Freud did not often admit to his strong Hebrew education
