description

Nathalie Latour is a French ceroplastician and art historian who revives the wax modeling traditions of the 18th and 19th centuries. Her poetic sculptures, often anatomical or botanical, explore the fragile boundaries between art, science, and history, echoing the spirit of vanitas and cabinets of curiosities.

Beyond her creations, she restores historical works, writes on the history of ceroplasty, and her pieces can be found in major collections such as the Musée de la Médecine in Paris and the Rijksmuseum Boerhaave in Leiden. She also collaborates with cinema, bringing her unique expertise into new creative fields.
