description
Finely cast and fire-gilded Tibetan bronze figure of the four-armed bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara. The figure is elegantly proportioned and displays a serene, contemplative expression. The four arms symbolize Avalokiteshvara’s all-encompassing compassion. Between the two hands, joined in a gesture of prayer, is a wish-fulfilling jewel, also known as the cintamani. The surface is carefully chased, with refined detailing to the crown, jewelry, and drapery.
