Nadie Borggreve (NL, 1991) is a versatile artist who works at the intersection of textiles and painting. She creates tufted landscapes in which wool and paint blend together almost seamlessly, enhancing one another. Borggreve deconstructs discarded garments and old pieces of fabric to reuse them in her work.
 
Borggreve’s works are almost magical collages in which she fuses elements from nature to create intriguing parallel worlds. The fluorescent lightness of the colours in her hand-dyed wool contrasts sharply with very dark shades of brown, blue and black. When she also places objects in the space that interact with the tapestries, visitors are completely drawn into her fascination with nature.
