Bottle Sculpture
Fabrizio Plessi transforms the archetypal form of the bottle through his distinctive turbolenza technique, capturing the essence of liquid motion within Murano glass. The artist creates three distinct levels of turbulence – minimal, medium and maximum – each expressing a different intensity of spiralling, wave-like distortion. The vessel’s recognizable silhouette dissolves into rhythmic undulations that range from subtle ripples to swirling motion, where water’s fluid dynamics become permanent sculptural form. These unique pieces exemplify Plessi’s dialogue between ancient glassmaking tradition and contemporary sensibility, transforming the functional into pure aesthetic appreciation.
