The ‘ Turbulent Vessels’ are sculpted organic vessels with a dynamic inner choreography. They are playful to impetuous, from animated to unrestrained, from swirling to turbulent. A soft curve becomes a swelling, a balloning becomes a lip, a slight dent becomes a body cavity. The smoothness of the porcelain clay increases the sensual aspect of the work.
The series ‘ the Three Graces’ refer to the Chinese Ying Ch’ing ware.
