De Galerie van Piet Hein Eek

Contemporary art and design

Stand: 85

Our gallery cannot be seen as separate from the Piet Hein Eek building – an old Philips factory in Eindhoven. The company landed in this building seven years ago and the activities that already covered the whole process, from concept to consumer, were further expanded. This has created a world in which art, culture, handicrafts, gastronomy and much more merge together. The road that was intuitively taken twenty years ago and in which a generalist approach was the guiding principle, has become a crossroads where a world comes together. A world of relationships and connections and of possibilities and impossibilities, where art has acquired a natural place and relates to its environment, sometimes even comes from it or blends with it. This intuitive choice has been replaced by an unshakable conviction that things only become better and more efficient if you start with the whole. The presentation at PAN in which we show works by Marc Mulders, James Cauty, Willem van den Hoed, Jan van der Ploeg, Daniel Ruanova and Michaël de Kok will hopefully lead visitors to embrace this crossroads – our world under one roof.
